SMOLDERING EMBERS

Newly finished piece “Smoldering Embers” is a strong 40″x40″ abstract evidencing the dramatic colors of the aftermath of fire. Strong black shapes of charred elements, grey soot and ash, and still smoldering red and orange embers. This was painted during the massive forest fires in NC and TN which destroyed tens of thousands of acres and hundreds of homes near my summer studio. It was recently on display at Coral Springs Museum of Art with the Florida Artist Group.  It is one of the artist’s favorites.    (P0714)
