“TANJA KOSAN”

SOLD ~ A huge tanker sits empty and rides high in the water at the dock. Her huge steel hull floats motionless seemingly impossibly tethered by only a few lines. Only the bow is shown here with radars, anchors and work lights. A short rest, reprovisioning and reloading and she’ll once again start her journey to the other side of the world.
The background in this painting is loose and expressive revealing pattern, drips and marks. A little graffiti on either side break the formal tension of the large formidable hull.  Sold to collector in Charleston, SC. (P0716)
