I have a Solo Show with Galleria Misto at Mahaffey Theater, Duke Energy Center for the Arts in Downtown St. Petersburg, FL November -February 2020. The large mezzanine gallery features six large well-lighted spaces for larger works. In a series “Sounds of The Sixties” I have six large abstracts, each inspired by music from the 1960’s. These titles include “Taste of Honey”, “Sounds of Silence”, “The Good The Bad & The Ugly”, “Pink Panther”, “Love is Blue”, and “In The Midnight Hour”, as well as “Good Vibrations” and “Born to be Wild”. Each is a large abstract, acrylic on canvas 60″ x 48″. A 45 rpm record of the music hangs near by as the title card for each piece. Also on the title card is a QR code connected to the same music. Those with a QRcode scanner app on their cell phone can scan it and hear the music while studying the painting. Additionally there is a total of 22 paintings, 11 on paper matted & framed. If you attend Mahaffey for any of their wonderful programs between November 2019 – January 2020, be sure to check out the artwork on the 2nd floor before the event or during the intermission. Hope you enjoy.
