Description of CHEFCHAOUEN

Blue, blue, and more blue. North of Morocco is the medieval town of Chefchaouen, settled in the 15th century by Jews fleeing the Spanish Inquisition. Buildings, walls, doors and gates are mostly painted in all the shades of blue: indigo, cobalt, turquoise, and sky. The streets are narrow and shafts of light beam through openings. Such were the thoughts while painting this one. It is available through the artist. (P0682)
